Welcome to the School of Ministry (SOM)! The SOM family is committed to journeying with you as you discover the calling on your life and deepen your relationship with Jesus Christ.
The School of Ministry started in 2000 with 12 students to equip Christians for the work of the ministry. The School equips you to become a better Christian, relate better with leaders and colleagues, and become more responsive to spiritual things. The school offers impartation — and not just lessons.
The School seeks to develop Jesus-focused men and women who are committed to demonstrating the biblical qualities of honour, unity, peace, grace, and integrity in all they do (1 Timothy 4:12-16), with the aim of equipping them for the work of the ministry, according to 2 Timothy 2:2.

How You Grow
Academic Assessment
The School uses a grading system across the tests and activities students engage in. Growth is measured not only in the classroom, but in character, service, and soul-winning.
In line with Matthew 28:18-20, every student is required to win at least one soul and follow up until they are fully established and rooted in a Bible-believing church.

Medium of Instruction
English is the medium of instruction, with simultaneous interpretation and translation available in Twi.
Staying Connected
Announcements and lecture handouts are shared via email, WhatsApp, text messages, notice boards, and calls where appropriate.
A Short, Focused Season
The programme runs for a short season, so students are encouraged to prioritise the School’s activities, remain punctual, and stay committed throughout.
What We Ask of You
Student Commitment & Code of Conduct
Enrolled students agree to uphold these standards — a covenant between the student, the local church (CFCC), and Jesus.
- 1Be committed and loyal to the School at all times, holding its activities above others, since the season is short.
- 2Respect, help, and greet all and sundry, irrespective of age and position.
- 3Read, learn, and study the lecture notes and the Bible quotations provided.
- 4Read the selected Bible books for the tests.
- 5Keep phones on silent during lectures.
- 6Reduce interruptions during lectures.
- 7Provide refreshment in turns.
- 8Be punctual — at least 15 minutes before class — and for church programmes and related activities.
- 9Be committed to your quiet time, and to sharing with other students and friends.
- 10Raise funds as required by the School.
- 11Be well dressed and decent at all times, especially during lectures.
- 12Be attentive and do not sleep during lectures.
- 13Notify the Dean and staff in writing if you will be absent from lectures.
- 14Participate actively in class and ask relevant questions.
- 15Manage your time for learning and be aware of time bandits.
- 16Do not grumble or speak evil about the School and staff.
- 17Obey instructions from the School.
- 18Do not cheat or copy during tests or assessments.
- 19Win a soul, then systematically follow up and record.
- 20Keep a dedicated notebook for class notes and file your handouts neatly.
